CV boot clamp pliers for use on Oetiker drive shaft securing clips, ear type metal CV joint boot clips, O-clips and on some cooling system hoses, fuel filters or water pumps. Specially designed jaws open the forming plate then pushes up to press a flat on top of the clip for correct and secure fastening as well as crimping action applies correct tension to prevent damage to the clip. Overall length of 240mm provides good cutting leverage so tool can be use by hand or with use of a 1/2″ drive breaker bar (ASTA 244050), ratchet (ASTA A-KH12SL) or a torque wrench (ASTA A-TW210) where manufacturer requires specific band tension. Made of heavy duty steel with PVC coated handles for comfort and extra grip.
